Another rambling nonsense from me, so apologies in advance, but ...
I was chatting with my sister today ... she's 15 days into a 25 day treatment regime ... she's counting down, looking forward , despite the discomfort and unpleasant side effects her spirit remains positive and inspiring to me.
Also today I read about the conviction of a mother and her partner, in relation to the murder of 6 year old Star Hobson.
At times I struggle to equate our capabilities with our limitations.
At times we appear to be from different species.

I put the name Indomitable on one of my dinghies. One of the Jutland battle cruisers which got home.
I despair about idiotic names people give their children.
ETA the kid was 16 months old not 6 years.

There is a large percentage of the populace who should not be allowed to procreate, vote, take care of anyone or even be allowed to breath. Unfortunately most of this group are in the so called developed world.

My initial reaction was to feel sorry for the babysitter who reported the problem to the authorities.
However I have since (via Google) discovered that she allowed her story to appear in the sun newspaper.
Whether she got paid or not that is just wrong.

It’s a harsh world we live in, but like Roger, I hang on to the hope that good will win out. Seems in this moment that it’s all going tits up, but we need to try and hang on and hope for better days. It’s a struggle at times though for sure.

I think we all have moments when we question the 'Whats the point?' but then something happens and u kinda see that there is good/beauty or whatever to lighten the load. Hope Rog's sister soon gets through the chemo without too many more bad side effects and that Ali's cousin has better days ahead... The grim is certainly out there.

And as for parents/guardians killing their own kids that really is nothing that new either (very sadly). Hope your sister does OK. Focus on that, rather than the shit things that contaminate our world.

Hope that Rog's sister and Ali's cousin get through it OK, it does pass, strangely Chris and I were just looking back at the last 3 years and now we can laugh at all the things that went off. Chris could only eat boiled eggs for breakfast which I would deliver to her in bed, we chuckled about the amount of meds that she took, around 20 pills a day, we couldn't remember what else she ate even though I was cooking it but it counts for nowt only to give us something to laugh about. Time really is a great healer Phil

That is something I find very difficult to get my head around. If you don't want children, it's not difficult to not have children. Sadly, there are reasons nowadays for having children which are totally unconnected to having them, such as access to social housing and benefits payments, which is where the Mick Philpotts of the world come in. I've long thought it would be better if the State helped people with their first two children and if you want more then you have to pay for them yourself rather than viewing them as a pay increase.

It's wrong for any child to have the burden of having two "parents" of the same sex.
People need to be more responsible about this sort of shit.
The woman has an old friend who is a rug muncher. She is a Scottish bird and really cool but not very good looking. She has a Turkish girlfriend who is quite attractive (dodgy hands though being Kurdish). Anyway they got married as a same sex thing and the reasonably good looking half of the couple got some donor sperm injected into her by a quack
Baby turned up. Boy. Fucking hell this is going to get technical!
The really bad fuckup was that the Scottish woman, who is ten times more caring than the other one, ended up being the "mother" of the kid.
I can't understand why anyone would be willing to cause the birth of a child under these circumstances. It's just too rude.
