Personally I was willing to entertain the argument that Russia sees it's territory as under threat right up until the moment Putin started killing children (shortly after sending his own to a secure establishment in the Urals). You do realise that ethnic Russian children have been killed in their thousands by Ukrainian artillery for over eight years now? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alley_of_AngelsShall we recap on how this shit got started? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euromaidan

Maybe we can do a deal with Elon musk. He can rape and pillage the earth for the raw materials for his mission to mars. As long as he promises to take the 1% With him and they all have to stay there forever.

The current situation started a long, long time before Euromaidan. If you are looking for a defining moment then toe 2004 eu expansion is it.

I've spent hours ranting about how the EU is the root of all evil. You and Putin have something in common. You both wish for the return of the good old days when you could pay a whore with nothing so much as a copy of the Argos catalogue. q. What was the very first thing most east Berliners did following the collapse of the wall? Was it: a) look for somewhere new to live b) get a meal in a restaurant c) go shopping

The absolute worst thing is that Putin has robbed us of winning the Eurovision. Although I suppose one could argue that we only finished second because of our nuclear capability anyway.

Anyway foxy, have you been for military training yet? I mean you’ve lived in Finland long enough, it’s only fair you defend it. When the Russians retaliate for Finland wanting to join nato.

I happened to walk past the TV last night and caught a couple of glimpses of the Eurovision Song Contest and felt quite ill as a result - what a rancid pile of dog vomit.

Millions of people world wide love Eurovision ... it's not to my taste so I didn't bother to "walk past the TV and caught a couple of glimpses" Hope quaysider had a good evening with his guest, drinking champagne, eating nibbles and enjoying the show Rog

As 'Diversity' and 'Multiculturalism' "is our strength" I thought I'd leave all the imported Somalis and Ali Babas to hold the front line. I'd be more worried about the World Health Organisation taking our rights away, than Putin and his rockets called 'Tiddles'. What's that, Vlad? 'Satan'? 'Satan' it is, then! Gawd.

Could a pandemic treaty be the backdoor to the end of world democracy? Nah, it'll be when the space aliens decide to formally announce themselves.

the Holodomor 1932 -1933
or Valodymyr Zatonski 1919
or lets go all the way back to the invasion of the Yanmaya
None of that counts.
Ukraine was an independent country which included Luhansk and Donbas and Crimea ...... Until Putin stuck his oar in.
They had problems but were rapidly working them out internally ... it was their business

History is a fascinating subject. Frinstance, you might say that the Serb / Croat war kicked off following a particularly unfriendly football match. Or, if you prefer, it was revenge for unpleasant alliances with the Germans in WW2. Or maybe kicking the shit out of each other has been a popular pastime for centuries before that. And then there's Israel. I blame the Romans.
