I imagine all that hoovering and washing up that Jan tells you to do must burn off the calories too. Must be Jan's new bingo night ... Lol. I think you have just stolen Stabby's material.

When (if) there is ever enough water in the HNC take a solo trip from Huddersfield to Marsden. Only 42 locks, best excercise you can get with your clothes on.

Somebody once told me that you don't stop doing things because you get old, you get old because you stop doing things Here we go again with the "You're only as old as you feel" tripe, and "My mother is 92 years old and still drives" nonsense. Not to mention Old Badger claiming he drives in cruise control along the busy A40 in London. TB should have a Fossils' Corner section where the Ancient Mariners and The Cardy Knitters can rabbit on about their hip operations and cataracts. Remember to turn your hearing aids on and put your teeth in.

Jane still runs, I can't now but I do exercises and stretching and we walk loads too. Still got our own teeth and hair and neither require any medication (long may that continue we hope). Rog

That’s the one keeping away from regular medication. Something like statins are an assett, taken regularly. Depends on the drug whether it's good to take regularly or long term.

All pharmaceuticals have side effects. I understand the benefits might outweigh the sideffects for some people. But avoiding regularly medication while you can is the best plan.

Problems can arise listening the FB Karen's views on medication, or anything else for that matter. Frequent quoting can lead to a need for strong medication, we see what can happen when you go along this track. I'm due my regular jabs shortly, hopefully all on one day.

It's good being retired, no having to wake up at 0520 to dash off to work... and free to pootle round northern Norway. Just driven to Melfjordbotn over the rocky fjells, past glaciers on both sides. Saw 3 mooses on the way back. Also saw 2 mooses this morning. I think we shall give our car an extra engine oil change when we get to Oulu as a 'thank you'... it has been a real work horse on this trek. Car's computer says average 5.9 litres/100km since leaving home. Only driven around 1,300km.

That’s the one keeping away from regular medication. Taking 4 'Covid vaccinations' and then a 'double booster' all within a period of a year and a half is 'regular medication'. For the insane.
