'And only one for birthday presents, you know. There's glory for you!'
'I don't know what you mean by "glory",' Alice said.
Humpty Dumpty smiled contemptuously. 'Of course you don't — till I tell you. I meant "there's a nice knock-down argument for you!"'
'But "glory" doesn't mean "a nice knock-down argument",' Alice objected.
'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.'
'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.'
'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master — that's all.'

Mad Hatter: "Have I gone mad?" Alice: "I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are."

I was referring to the point that the same person may not be able to get another boat licensed. Obviously this was a point without merit as people like that have no intention of licensing their boats anyway. As for removal of the boats there is no mention of location. We've been here before. Try harder ! Muddled conjecture founded on guesswork, unthinking bias and a presumption of probity in favour of proven liars and incompetents is not a sound basis from which to present any form of reasoning or argument. You try harder !

I'm not biased in the slightest.
I think it is you who needs to try harder in this respect.
Also you got your boat nabbed and can no longer use it. For people who view the availability of a boat to use as a wise precaution in life this is incredibly infra dig.

The repeated use of that particular train of thought, . . presented as if a form reasoned argument, . . puts you very firmly down somewhere around the Shit-for-Brains Coventon level.

Shit-for-Brains Coventon For as long as the sick child rapist Tony Dunkley continues with these totally unprovoked personal attacks, I will continue to flag up his criminal record in an attempt to damage his business and expose him to the risk of being given a beating or have his house vandalised. TONY DUNKLEY /A.K.DUNKLEY - Paedophile, child molester. Three convictions for sexual offences against children, five convictions for theft. Served six years of an eleven-and-a-half year sentence at HMP Whatton, Nottinghamshire for raping an eight year old girl. Son of Nottinghamshire's most infamous prostitute. Died aged 42 from compications of syphillis. Complete and total slut.

I can see this ending with someone pouring a gallon of petrol through Tony's letterbox and throwing in a lighted match.

Do you know what "reasoned argument" is? Did they teach you anything at... ah.... did you go to school or were you an urchin? They do say that some of the most pointless people on earth were those whose mother's thought, erroneously, that a private school education was a worthwhile expense for their sons. It wasn't. For the record I am never "put down" anywhere therefore I reject your argument. By having your boat taken you have demonstrated rather more about yourself than you may have intended to. Be more careful in future.

What are the chances his two boats will be sold to a mystery buyer? The fact that this ruse has worked previously is a poor reflection on the honesty, abilities, and professional competence of every lawyer, legal advisor, or boating organization involved with either orchestrating or opposing this shambles. Properly and honestly exercised, the statutory powers of boat removal under Sections 8 and 13 of the British Waterways Acts of 1983 and 1971 (respectively) are applicable only to "relevant craft" or "houseboats". Section 8 and 13 boat removal powers are neither relevant nor applicable to boatowners, . . other than as the named or unnamed recipient of the formal notices called for under both Acts, . . or as the subjects of the Injunctions included in the Orders obtained by C&RT for Declaratory and Injunctive Relief, to which a change of ownership of the named craft or vessel makes no practical difference whatsoever, . . the Injunctions being, by their nature, made against a person or persons, and NOT against inanimate objects.
