Find out where quaysider plans to be ... and book somewhere else 😁 As Vince says, the Llangollen is the obvious choice or the Four Counties Ring ... seem the main thoroughfares that are the most reliable (if that can be said of anywhere these days). Rog I've developed a cunning plan for 2025 (2024 already written up) ... I'm just gonna put up dates and NOT the locations... given it's nigh on impossible to achieve what I set out to do anyways Alternatively, I'm gonna stop and have a year off - paying double for a business license and not being able to run said business is pushing me to breaking point... time for a re-think and reevaluation.

We set off with a rough plan, liable to change. So when we go back, considering heading Sheffield way. peterboat and possibly dogless , or whoever might know, is there anywhere within walking distance of railway stations it's safe to leave the boat, more crucially, where not to? E.G Doncaster, so we can hop back home via Leeds. Interesting that there's a direct line from Goole to Castleford with only 2 trains a day, 8am and 8pm. A local fishist told me they call it the parliamentary line, can't be closed down without an act of parliament, so they just run 2 trains a day. The alternative frequent trains run via Doncaster at a higher price! Just picked this up Jim, There is safe mooring at eastwood or in Sheffield, Doncaster in the center is safe as well

Just to echo Vince, we've hired from Anderson boats.
Boats were fine and actually reasonably cheap compared to others in the area.
They bent over backwards for us allowed us to set off early and even took our tesco delivery on board and put the chilled stuff in the fridge.
We will probably hire from them again and do the 4 counties.

I was given a tour of their newest "work in progress" a few years ago when Mrs Andersen was really friendly, helping me pull my boat onto their mooring to keep out of the way on a mad Saturday afternoon... her philosophy is to make their boats good enough (and all individually decorated/furnished) that you take pride in them on your holiday which means you will probably look after them... How are things with you down in the deep south?! Hope all your work stress and bother is behind you now and you can begin to relax and enjoy the kids' holidays and the in-laws' new home....

All good here, passed my course so any type of fork lift that I'm trained on I can now instruct and test on, so that's good.
Had a lovely trip to the Isle of wight last week with the kids a bit of a walking holiday.
I'm now going to do the Islands coastal path at some point. Views are amazing.

Is that just in house or can you take the qualification anywhere?

But if I do whilst working for coop I can't profit from it and they have to be registered and supply paperwork. I think, well that's what our instructor said.
