Don't mind if I do. The fucker can still win even if he's in the 'joint', as they say in the colonies. I will be very surprised if Trump loses. But look on the bright side, the Russo-Ukraine war will end sooner. One way or another. The fucker as you put it is going to win. I’m hoping he gets locked up as well, so we have the president of the USA as a convict. Although as soon as he’s elected he will pardon himself and his family.

I know it's only the Primary vote to select candidates, but the fact that there is a 'write in' box so a candidate who is not on the ballot can be selected is interesting. This is how Biden won the New England Primary for the Democrats. It puts a different slant on democracy.

Biden is completely ga-ga. There's nothing wrong with having senile dementia but is it a desirable quality in the President of the World's most powerful country? There's no contest. Trump is going to win and the world is going to be a much more dangerous place as a result. For all Trump's faults, one thing he didn't gain a reputation for during his Presidency was warmongering. I'm curious as to what danger you foresee.

For all Trump's faults, one thing he didn't gain a reputation for during his Presidency was warmongering. I'm curious as to what danger you foresee. It has become unsurprising that you default to support of the most controversial aspect of any given situation. Still, you have to get with the cool kids somehow. When Trump was last in a position of power I recall he took a number of inadvisable decisions on the most fractious political situations; it did ensure his name in the headlines though. * Moved the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and declared US support of remaking Israel's capital there to no purpose other than stirring the shit *Claimed he could bring Mr Kim on-side and solve the Korean 'question' in short order. What he achieved were concessions to a fucking lunatic and his pariah state while simultaneously weakening US diplomatic relations (or put otherwise, allowed the fat one to take the piss, again). *Abruptly withdrew US forces from Afghanistan, resulting in chaos, but it certainly massaged the desires of his key voter base (isolationist rednecks). *Reversed the progress made in global carbon emissions for much the same reasons. *Destroyed what was arguably the greatest reform in US history since the civil war - accessible healthcare for the poorest sector of US society. If I recall anything else I'll be sure to let you know. This is just what's top of the pile. Putin is getting all-excited.

I live in Warwickshire and have no dog in the US election fight. I politely asked you to expand on a point which I did not fully understand and you opened with this, so I simply ignored the rest of your post. You are an idiot and I won't waste my time trying to engage with you again.

And one more thing, the most worrying of all; when, and not if, he returns to the White House for yet more fun and games, he'll be doing it in a period of greatest international uncertainty since the Cuban missile crisis.
What's not to love?

This is the guy who is preferable to Biden.
Because he has natural ability.
Yup, he sure does.

I suppose if that's what 'America' chooses, so be it. Democracy. But there's quite a way to go yet. Rog That’s the thing with democracy, doesn’t give everyone the result they want. I only have one friend that lives in America, and he is very keen on Trump being re-elected. He tells me that Trumps time as leader improved his lifestyle. It seems to be a fairly common view among Americans that their standard of living improved under Trump and has deteriorated under Biden. Quite possibly this is due to external factors outwith the control of either, but the "feel-good factor" inevitably plays a large part in voting decisions.

And another thing: Trump removed the USA from the INF treaty, arguably the greatest achievement of the Reagan administration and the most significant contribution to world peace since the invention of the atom bomb.
Oh well.

Let’s face it, another trump presidency is going to be a pain in the arse for everybody apart despotic leaders and billionaires.
