What fun in the tory party today, squabbling again. Rishi has polled fewer likes than Boris, Liz Truss or Jeremy Corbyn, Sir Simon Clarke says there will be an election massacre. The right wing faction are setting up Pop Con, with the emphasis on Con, to oust Rishi and lead the Mail and Express readers by the nose. The decisive poll was commissioned by tories in their efforts to get into power again to spread joy and bungs around their greedy business mates. Bring out the Pop Corn! No doubt the acolytes will be along shortly saying how happy they are with this shit show, raising a smokescreen of inventions about Labour instead of addressing the chaos at number 10. Calm down dears, just resign and hand over the keys.

Labour would have had my vote, but the threat of 20mph limits has cost them that. Same goes for several of my mates. A few more proposals such as this and I suspect the vote will go closer than many believe.

The tory's have worked very hard to destroy their election majority and their popular support ... without exaggeration you could claim no government has done more.
If anyone can fail to seize the advantage I'd suspect Starmer & Co. are candidates.
We shall see ... I still expect a surprise spring election.

I'm surprised you would give up your principles in favour of those few extra miles an hour, they difference between maiming a child or bruising them. That's the reason for 20mph limits in residential areas. Doesn't take much longer to get there either.

I haven't known Jim being this cocky since June 2016 & we all know how that ended for him. 😂. Jeez he’s still bleating on about it now!🙄 I do think the only way the tories can turn it round is by a massive financial bribe in the budget, Raising personal allowances to £18K type of thing.🤷🏽♂️ (Which would also give Labour a massive headache in dealing with if it failed.) Im sure theres many people on the run up to voting day wondering just what a Labour government might be like & thinking ‘who is lurking behind the beige nice guy Starmer’ and then thinking.....Nah, I just don't trust them! 🤷🏽♂️

It creeps though doesn’t it! Anyway, il leave principles for the politicians. End of the day though, most people vote for the party that promises them the things that are important to them.

There is no chance of that happening - it helps everyone, so goes against the whole Con philosophy! It helps those who work for a living. Those who shirk would feel no benefit. Why did they freeze it then, and give me some cost of living payments (another one due next month) - all curtesy of Rishi. No wonder the country is in a mess - even the Government can't get things right for the working man...!

It was frozen to pay for all the support given to employees on furlough when the country was in lockdown. Was it right or wrong? They're still arguing that in an extremely expensive inquiry. If benefits for unemployment are maintained at subsistence level, which is what they should be, then then career dole drawers would have to change their lifestyle which would benefit us all. We need a greater GDP so that the liability of the public sector pension load is less of a burden. It currently runs at 97% of GDP

If I need cost of living payments to 'subsist' this year, what happens next year, are prices going to come down? Or are the benevolent Gov going to increase benifits above the rate of inflation? It's all smoke and mirrors from Rishi. Sack him now! and put someone honest and up front in charge, someone like Boris.

Bring it on. A paid for armed mutiny against the tories would quickly follow! Doubt it, the lazy, feckless twunts haven't got any fight in them, too busy shagging/getting pregnant or sat smoking dope waiting for their next ‘payday’. 🙄
