Initially when reading the thread title I thought it was going to be a CRT policy. Something like '3 strikes and you are out' backed up with enforcement.
Satisfy the bored or bugger orf.
I'm glad this is not happening as I hate to think of the damage it could do to the rather wonderful Thames.
CRT need to be more relaxed!

Oops. The only CRT thing which is winding me up now is Limehouse lock as I am liable to be its biggest user in 2024 and it seems awkward. I might become a resident of their waiting pontoon. Bouncy but worse things happen at sea ! The marina and the lock orifice was hived orf to Aquavista but not the lock so rather than having on site keepers who know their shit there is some sort of online booking nonsense. I can see trouble so strong ropes and bounce around on the waiting pontoon may be the order of the day.
I'm clearing the working deck for a decent sofa. Sit and watch the Boats as one is not allowed to leave the vessel unattended on the waiting pontoon.
Could be fun.

I've just received my renewal notice for next year and happily my licence will cost exactly the same as it did last year due to my use of threats and blackmail to force CRT to take back the "free" month they gave me during the Covids which pushed my licence renewal date from 1st March to 1st April. At first they told me they couldn't adjust my renewal date so I pointed out that if they didn't I would simply not renew the licence, force them into taking out a Section 8 Court Action against me, drag out the process as long as possible then sell the boat to my son the day before the Court hearing. They then saw sense and took their "free" month back..

The hours might not suit you what with the ageing. I guess you already have contacts but just in case I could put in a good word.
I'll never forget the little plastic british flag Rover badges you sent me.
