Hi I can't get my alternator to work. I have checked it and its circuits are just like the one below. Help what do I have to do? Why are you posting that image from TB's training site that you have already showed on CWDF to have an error in it?

Well apparently he no longer posts on CWDF or won't until the mods do things the way he wants them.

You posted incorrect advice on CW which Tony then corrected, so you thought this would be a childish way of getting back to him. Well done, you've shown us all what kind of person you are.

No I did not post incorrect or inaccurate advice. I posted a link to BSS and the section number and the interpretation I had been given by BSS. Plus what I have done. Think you need to read more carefully and the above was nothing to do with that, it relates to something differently entirely.

Let's examine this.., You stated that 3.6.2 referred to 'charging sources'. It doesn't, it refers to 'battery chargers'. You quoted the list of exemptions but purposely avoided posting the actual rule which very clearly does not exempt alternators. If you knew anything about boat electrics you would know that the BSS has demanded that alternators be wired through an isolator for many years. Whether or not this is a good rule isn't the case in point. Many threads have been had on CW about the subject over the years which always end up with the same conclusion, namely that it's a dumb rule but a rule nonetheless. Some boaters move the connection to the other side of the isolator on BSS day just to get a pass. You hated being corrected so thought you would throw a churlish strop over here, knowing that you wouldn't get away with it over there. Thank you for showing us what a nasty little man you are.

I was unaware that you were having a dig at anyone else.
I took your request at face value and answered in good faith.
When the error was pointed out I took it as a joke against myself.
I do not read Canalworld and was unaware of your posts on there.
I was unaware therefore of any previous arguments/wrangles. I object most strongly to being used in such dealings.

And isn't it funny how Geo never answers a post from graham and vice versa.

Above - I put into bold and red so no confusion - "interpretation I had been given by BSS" was it from the BSS office or was it from a BSS examiner? If examiner it is not an official BSS judgement/ruling on the issue and this should be made clear if it was just an examiner.

What he wrote, which TonyB corrected in his usual gentle and courteous manner, was: Nothing at all about any "interpretation given by the BSS", he only added that bit 10 posts later, with no corroborative evidence, after being corrected. (My bold and red)

Are you the same Geo from cwd by any chance? Why are you posting that image from TB's training site that you have already showed on CWDF to have an error in it? Oh, now I see what you're doing. I object most strongly to being used in such dealings.Hence why I asked the question I did above. Reading some of the things he posts in cwf has left a somewhat sour taste in my mouth. I thought it rather strange that he would come here asking for technical advice, when he seems quite comfortable in offering it to others over there & the negative things he posts regrading this site & it's members. Bit of a hypocrite IMHO

I have long thought that Geo is the latest incarnation of Chris Pink. Similar style and attitude.
