My guess is that it is something specifically northern. Something to do with a cotton mill, a coal mine a flat cap factory or chip barms. Southern knonowt knows nowt. Quelle surprise.

No zinc, the Romans hadn't invented it, us Brits sold them the copper and tin. Definitely cast bronze. Possibly a thrust bearing? Not a.clue really. With luck it will be a rare part for a vintage Rolls. With my luck only a Rolls Canardly though.

The steel bit is steel, the bronze bit is a mix of copper and tin.

maximum length of bicycle 85cm. that wouldn't be a bicycle, that would be a unicycle with a 29 inch wheel or summat. Our recumbent tandem is somewhere around 3m long.

This does beg the question ... are most TB members of the evaporated or condensed varieties?
I refer to their brains, of course.
I like to think more well preserved. Rog Pickled?

A good idea! I can see someone who can't do this and has a frustrated fixation would have to vent their spleen repetitively in public, to the annoyance of innocent bystanders. In fairness, it's easy enough to put Dunkley and his worthless input on the ignore list. Although I'm sure nobody bothers reading anything he posts anyway, it tidies up the forum no end. poor Tony thinks the threads he started are for his sole use, no disagreement or dissent or posting alternative topics within the thread. It's been custom and practice since the start, threads wander, members discuss and post whatever they see fit, be it farts or puddings. If someone would like an administered monitored and controlled forum they can go and start their own.

So what effective action have you been doing to get CRT to change, during your absence from TB. What are you doing now? The thread is about why TB has become a miniature version of cwdf? Not about what I have done or haven’t done, do try to keep up. Ah, I thought you were criticising from a solid position. Appears you are just a gobshite. You've been away so long you haven't noticed that people cross post whatever they want anywhere. Tony struggles with this too, bless.

Tomski has only ever posted to either try to bait Tomsk or to berate the forum. I'll put him on ignore. Good, because so you have very little to say of consequence anyway. So many of you will be ignoring so many people soon, what will the point of the forum be? So what effective action have you been doing to get CRT to change, during your absence from TB. What are you doing now?

So what would you like to see ... what is it that you think is missing ? Rog I’m not that bothered, I’ve got more interesting things to do. But I do find it interesting that I’ve voiced an opinion contrary to the group think on here and immediately it has garnered anti responses from the usual suspects. saying 2 +2=5 isn't contrary to group think, it's just wrong.
