Came back to the boat today, couple of hours cruise into hebden bridge in sunshine (when it reached the steep valley bottom!) bitter cold easterly wind coming along the valley. Now warm and toasty by the fire. Heading back towards home tommorrow, to Todmorden, got work on Friday pm so will leave it there for the weekend.

That's a wallaby I tell ya! One of the best stretches of canal in the country, Stoodley Pike supervising all. Pics below.

Nice pics. Can't seem to resize on the phone to post mine. Left Hebden Bridge centre at 9.30am, ice breaking a lot of the way, the sun doesn't hit the canal in winter. First foxy pic is the Gauxholme flight, just come up those very locks in the dark, to moor at the top, the ice and frost helped us see better! The roe deer is v upset at being called a wallaby, it said you are roo'd foxy. Got to get the Brompton bike out now, cycle to Todmorden centre to pic up the car, going home in the morning, working in the afternoon. Back next week to do the last stretch up the hill to the mooring.

From a phone I use m.imgur.com/Upload it to imgur, copy the direct link, reply on TB using the desktop version rather than mobile version. There is a little icon that looks like a sort of picture frame thing, click on that, then copy and paste the direct link into the box - click insert when pasted I do this in the bb code tab - bottom left of the reply box. I sometimes loose the keypad on the phone in the preview tab. I have no idea what most of the above means but it seems to work

In the first photo you can make out the spire of the Presbyterian church in Todmorden, my dad's Uncle Cuthbert was a minister there.

I've just resized using polarr on my chromebook, that works, but polarr on android phone won't resize. I might try viewing and downloading the uploaded pics from facebook, that might work. imgur or whatever photostore is just another thing I'd have to use, it works but aarrrghghhh so many things to do!!!!

I absolutely hate this stuff, I have learned to accept it's here to stay and I'm going to have to muddle on best as I can. Give me a proper bit of mechanical gubbins any day. I'm sure we are going to breed a generation of kids with funny fingers, bad eyesight and zero social or practical skills thanks to the wonders of modern technology!

there we go, to share google drive pics, get the share link for the file in in google drive (not photos) then convert it in Google Drive Direct Link Generator. Thats what I was doing on New Years Eve, better than working for a living!

I'm sure we are going to breed a generation of kids with funny fingers, bad eyesight and zero social or practical skills thanks to the wonders of modern technology! Already here. Most on my bus have glasses and few graceful manners. Have not looked at their fingers though. White faces in the rearview mirror I can see, as they are all transfixed in the limelight of their smartphones, like rabbits in a car's headlights.
