Heading back to my mooring now, had a lovely week in Skipton, went on the KWVR and also on the Settle-Carlisle line, something I've always wanted to do. Had some proper Yorkshire fish and chips, cooked in beef dripping. Did a bit of cruising, of course. For various reasons, I've decided to go back via Standedge Tunnel rather than the River Trent, I'll try to get a booking for it tomorrow, but I'm aiming for Monday 1st May. How did you get on with the cruising? Any decent skirt about?

Went up the KWVR but haven't done the Settle-Carlisle run. Doing the tidal Trent between Cromwell and Keadby is interesting and not too demanding and the Fosdyke is worth a visit although the high banks can be a pain. The Chesterfield is nice but the weed was a trial when I was there, spent more time un-weeding than moving. Did it in Shapfell (25'6" with only a baby 2 pot Vetus) so bags of oomph is not a suitable description You just need to be sensible It is a well worth while doing the trip at some time.

I wouldn't have a problem with doing the River Trent, but my son should be with me again and I gave him the choice as to whether he wanted to do the Trent or Standedge Tunnel, and he chose the tunnel. If he can't make it, then I think I'd prefer not to do the Trent single-handed anyway.
I'm going to spend a week or two back on my mooring, get some maintenance and my BSSC done, and if finances permit, head south, maybe the K&A.

K&A is nice. Should be some yobboes and scrotes for you to slaughter around Reading and the Fobney Lock area.

Glad to hear you're making the most of life between random kill sprees. Kudos to you. I understand the Standedge offers excellent opportunities for discreet body part disposal with the proviso that some 'jointing' of full torsos may be required due to low water levels/dredging need. Simple disposal of body parts following summary punishment beatings/amputations as a result of attempted unauthorised boarding by undesirables or 'Scrotes' should pose no problem legally, but probably should be reported to the Coroner and Next of Kin in order to establish and maintain a professional approach to Mr Stabbys entirely reasonable methodology.

Your right he might lose the reasonable defence if he starts chopping them up.

My understanding is that there will be a CRT chaperone on the boat at Standedge Tunnel so I was intending to get rid of the body parts at Harecastle Tunnel a few days later?

If the CRT chaperone comes aboard without permission you can kill them as well.

Did you pick up the envelope for you at Pennine Cruisers?

Did you pick up the envelope for you at Pennine Cruisers? No, this is the first I've heard of it. Does it contain a large amount of cash in used twenties? If so, I may return for it.
