We use UV cure vinyl ester Epoxy with that, it works fine on both poly and epoxy. I think we've done trials with steam cure Vinyl ester resins too. Poly below the waterline is OK too, we didn't have flash vinyls in the early days, ive a strong feeling all the early GRP boats (including ours) were poly - still afloat 50 years on Mix it up, torm it on, go for a brew 🍻👍⚓🚢 I would go Poly as i have always done, but its this boat and , well , i am sure all early boats were poly, this is a 1970`s so will defo be poly. Burr with and lets see what happens. Either way this plant pot is going to float once again I digress Gazza ( christ a posh word for me ) what is your choice of flavour drink in these. Strawberry, Blueberry, Rum ? Umm, dunno?! I'm a straight laced simple boy from Northants, apple cider, lager, brown beer although I have tried a Raspberry and Rhubarb cider - definitely a desert drink not a session brew! Anyway, we've a deal, you get her floating, we'll come a visiting, you can surprise me with the boats bar stock when we see you and T 👍🚢⚓🍻
