I may be missing the part in the BS guide here. Can i fit/have the fuel tank in the outboard well ? The engine well will be sealed all around from the deck area so no fumes will get into the boat from above.

If you seal the engine well and its an outboard motor then it might gas itself and stall due to lack of oxygen.

Probably ok then. I've got a 14ft double ended GRP fishing boat with an internal outboard motor well and when I put my 6hp Tohatsu on it the motor gases itself at higher power outputs (boat not moving fast). Its only open at the top being a full enclosed well so I guess the exhaust gas builds up and can't escape.
