one of my favourite programmes, but it would be so much better if the challengers were generally of a better standard.
yesterday the lady who chose to take on Geography, when given a multiple choice of 3 answers, believed that the Orwell runs through Scarborough and that a river called the Parrett in Somerset discharges into the English Channel; and the same team included another lady describing herself as a Haitch R manager who didn't associate Ho Chi Minh City with Saigon when given the choice. What kind of education do folks get, and what level of a general interest in the world in general do they need, in order to qualify for a job where they sit in judgment of company employees?
contrasting with that a team of primary school staff put up a great fight against the Eggs on the previous day, and won £22,000.

Well we can't know everything. For example, didn't know until this morning that the railway bridge we passed under near Dewsbury (on the Calder & Hebble Navigation) belonged to the Midland Railway's Royston - Thornhill line which was part of the Midland's original ambition for a railway London-to-Scotland via Bradford.
I looked it up on Google. But of course I should have asked you!
