Really hard to say because the skin tank holds an unknown quantity, and was built by the hull builder not the engine maker. Our current boat has a pretty thin skin tank and the engine cooling system took about 15litres but the previous boat we used had a ridiculously fat skin tank which held gallons.

As Nick says, each boat is different.
My 60 foot boat with a Beta 43 took 40 litres for the engine cooling and 25 litres for the Webasto based central heating with 3 rads (2 doubles and a single) and and heated towel rail.

I have no idea. Just thought I'd say it (you no doubt guessed already) as even the 'grown ups' can't answer, so for a change I don't look so dim Rog

Thanks guys, pretty much as I thought. Think I will get 30l of 10year and see how we get on. For some reason the ever splutter header tank has gone empty on me, hope I ain't got a leak, nothing obvious, wonder if it filled a gap when I was arseing around with the toilet sink, will find out soon I guess. Rog, your input was(almost) as helpful as everyone else!
