Found a few pints of water in the cabin bilge the other day. When this happened previously the culprit was a leaking water pump connection. Water pump area dry this time. I prised off the wooden trims around the windows to expose the window edges. Found a wet area, the bottom corner of one window. I suspect the best solution might be to remove the window then re fit it with decent sealant. I don't fancy doing it at this time of the year though. I don't have a riveter and anyway, it's too cold. I'm thinking of a bead of clear silicone around the window as a temporary measure. Do you reckon this is the best way, or something else?

Yea the crack cure is good. But it needs to be applied repeatedly over a few hours without it raining in between and no too sure how it would set in this really cold weather. Maybe some butyl strip pushed around the edge of the window would be a better quick short term fix. It’s a bit like blutack.

In a pinch PVA should work as well as CCC, thickened enough so it doesn't run out.
Could even try smearing a little Fernox LSX sealer around the window, it may affect paint adhesion later on though.
