I’ve got a sous vide too! Feel free to share your best recipes Not really any specific recipes to share. My experience is cook, any meat or fish and it comes out great. Adding flavouring to vegetables such as honey to parsnips makes them much more interesting. Still want to to try pigeon breast, venison and wild boar. I cooked up 3 whole pork fillets sloshed with Maple syrup, cranberries and brie wrapped up in a streaky bacon lattice a few days ago. Only comment by my foodie friends was "Oh my god". It is too easy to cook perfect food while just throwing bits together. I go in for that sort of cooking, I call it Summer cooking Summer this , summer that and away you go. Phil

One of my twin sons (the one who isn't quite as interested in narrowboating as the other one) is into urban exploration, he has explored various wartime tunnels in Dover and a former psychiatric hospital in Chartham, Kent among other things. He sometimes gets turfed out by security guards and he has warned me that it is possible that he might be arrested sometime by an over-zealous copper but I told him to keep calm and carry on.

Hopefully they won't be to over zealous..remember exploring old air raid shelters as a child that had been partly sealed up and also deserted buildings in a Scout Yard that subsequently was sold, demolished and houses built on the site....Those days when caught we were just told to clear off but I suspect the Nannie state of to-day will be slightly more judgemental..

When I was in my early 20s, the labyrinth of tunnels beneath Ramsgate was a rite of passage for urban explorers before the term "urban explorers" even existed. We even used to have parties down there. They are now open as a (hugely successful) tourist attraction and I've been on the tour a few times (back in the day, access involved climbing a 9' brick wall and then trespassing for about half a mile along the railway, hiding from passing train drivers, I'm too old for that malarkey nowadays). Well worth a visit if anyone is ever in the area. www.ramsgatetunnels.org/

Years ago (seems like very many years) I used to go caving/potholing/spelunking. My excuse when people used to call me mad was that 'when I was a kid I played in rivers, now I'm an adult I have to hide my fun so I go underground to do it'. If asked now I'd just admit I'm mad! A near death experience cured me of that type of madness.

Inside the school. And the ROC. Which I've found out were nuclear fallout monitoring stations. And some were still in use in the 90s. This one closed in 1968. I bet there is one near you. I can find out. A nice little site that shows them all on a map... www.roc-heritage.co.uk/posts-map.html

Wow that is interesting and different. What sort of pieces do you do? All sorts really, I can’t figure how to post pictures off my iPad, I’ll try tomorrow in work. I’ve been doing a lot with copper recently as I’ve been playing with patina, I’ve made some nice (well I think so!) cuffs. I’m now making them in silver. I make rings, I especially like spinner rings where you have a ring on top of a ring which moves. I’m learning different stone setting techniques at the moment, some of which are very frustrating! My avatar is an early pendant I made.
