Interesting fact (well , interesting to me anyway) legal documents dont contain punctuation for a reason: a comma in the wrong place, as previous posts have shown, can alter the meaning of a sentence, not something you want in your will .........

Interesting fact (well , interesting to me anyway) legal documents dont contain punctuation for a reason: a comma in the wrong place, as previous posts have shown, can alter the meaning of a sentence, not something you want in your will ......... Friend of mine in distant past very knowledgeable on legalese would spend days crafting letters to ensure no ambiguity....It did make me(for a little while) conscious of every word written....a very tiring time as it co-incided with very unpleasant communication sent to me by Mr A.N.Other. I would love to be an expert in the written word and punctuation but.....cannot fathom out the mysteries of the English Language so I will womble along.
