it was because he knew you needed help. I meant bad news for the forum. The higher the number of boaters contributing interesting content the more likely the forum is to survive. If it just ends up being a tit for tat arguing site with peoples opinions met with "fuck off" or "you are a prick" its not going anywhere interesting is it ? Just a general observation. I guess people will just drift away to facebook. Neither is it all about "fuck off" or "you are a prick". Sometimes your own posts are worthy of giving somebody depression!

Much as I will miss the argumentative caravaner, this is after all a boaters forum.

Much as I will miss the argumentative caravaner, this is after all a boaters forum. I don't think owning a boat is or should be a pre-requisite for posting though, an interest in the waterways is enough I believe.

I must have saved everyone on that forum hours/days/weeks of pointless time wasting.

MJG may well have gone through the same process and reached a conclusion. Who can say.... but I thought nurses are supposed to have a good bedside manner, and it's just not cricket to depart without a proper farewell.

I don't know what I'm going to do next time I'm on the L&L and my weeping fistula needs looking at.

I knew 'weeping fistula' was going to crop up! How funny to think you are where we were Dec 2016/Jan 2017. Jack Mytton pub has a nice wharf to tie to, and we have slept there overnight.
I was passed this afternoon by 2 boats coming t'other way. Once again mostly have the canal to myself. We have grown to like this area, the Calder Valley. People here are friendly. Off in a few minutes...

Last time I was here it had closed down and when I came past it on this trip it had a bit of a neglected and run-down air to it.

Don't know. We were last in The Jack Mytton in March 2017. It is in the middle of nowhere, so one does wonder how they make ends meet.

Willey Moor is good. All home cooked last time we were there. Mind you they didn't take plastic then. Just cash or cheque (if you're old enough to remember them ) Rog
