A quick question.
Does anyone on this fount of all knowledge (Forum), know anything about the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), that comes into effect on the 25th May ’18? I’m already registered with the DPA, as a company. But, what do I need to do to satisfy the new criteria?
The reason I ask is, there are pages and pages of bull shit on the web at the moment about the topic, with no definite answer.

Am wading through it myself. I found a good site for info the other day, I'll have a look to see if I saved it.

I'm also involved in sorting GDPR. Do an audit, what data/info have you got and why, where it's kept, have a statement that tells people who to talk to to remove it. I suspect we have to send out to all on database to issue the new GDPR statement and confirm they still want to be in your database. I'd rather go boating!

Thanks Jim Do an audit: Have done What data/info have you got and why: Staff records / Client records (NHS, Council, Private Homes etc). And why: For the service we provide. Where is it kept: Hard drive on password protected computers, and backed up on a password protected USB flash drive, which is kept in a safe overnight. Have a statement that tells people who to talk to remove it: That would be Moi.
