We had a 30 min walk up the canal today to visit the museum, which was £4 to get in. Well worth a visit, and particularly enjoyed seeing a steam engine operating, the spinning mule operating, and visit their little cinema, where an old Ealing film called Painted Boats (1945) was being shown. There were terrific shots of the GU around Stoke Breune and Braunston, and footage of many well known old boats. The film is available on you tube and lasts an hour should anyone be interested. Another gorgeous sunny day Rog

Really hot and sunny all day. It's good oop north innit Just looking at reports of the storms around Birmingham 2.3 inches of rain fell in an hour. You wouldn't think we were that far away. Rog
