I had an unusual encounter with a very pleasant bird earlier on.
Was out in the kayak taking in the air and I was approached by a lovely looking wagtail.
Nice bird. It seemed to think I may be friendly.
Does anyone else here have any interest with or from birds?

We had a Muscovey duck just like this one that used to rock up every October and spend the winter on our (warm) side deck when we moored on the Broads, we called him Henry and he was so much part of the family that when we let the dogs out we just used to call "Dogs coming out" and he would step back from the door to let the dogs out. He would stay all winter with us and bugger off in the Spring

We moor on the Newport arm at Norbury. We have an owl who is always really vocal in the early evening. It's not obvious at any other time of the day but always seems to let us know he's there at around 6pm.Love listening to it.😊

It seemed to think I may be friendly. Does anyone else here have any interest with or from birds? It was hungry. Have you not seen Mr Hitchcocks documentary. Don't turn your back on them. We see lots from behind the safety of our French windows. Currently a fat woodpidgeon on on the bird table. Doesn't your bestie eat little birds with a tea towel over her head?
