Well I might do since you asked so nicely! But it is true. However I do not suggest that all or even most members are. But there are a few. Hence the tag line is entirely accurate. It is nothing to do with name calling as a response to disagreement, it is to do with being intrinsically homophobic. No it isn't true. Jenlyn posted a link to a Supreme Court judgement in the US which upheld a baker's right to refuse to decorate a cake with a motif promoting the customer's sexuality and stated that he agreed with the judgement. This is not homophobia. Posting a link to a Supreme Court judgement isn’t homophobic. Supporting the judgement which was itself homophobic, is.

The fact that the US Supreme Court made a judgement which went against the party which was homosexual does not make the Supreme Court homophobic. Agreeing with the Supreme Court's decision does not make a third party homophobic. You do the gay rights movement no favours by identifying hatred where no hatred exists.

Well of course it depends on what you mean by “homophobic”. If you had been to a proper school you would know that the “phobic” bit means an extreme fear, typically an irrational fear. However when someone displays symptoms of homophobia it is hard to know what is behind it, whether it is a conscious fear, an unconscious fear or something else (that the person themselves may not even know). But what we can do is to define the sort of behaviour typical or homophobes and that is one of discrimination on grounds of non-straight sexual orientation. Refusing to make a cake with a message supporting something to do with homosexuality, for a gay customer, is a decision based on discrimination and thus the act and the perpetrator are homophobic, as is the judgement and as are people who support the judgement.

One of the reasons I’m a poof is because I can’t abide sulking, and women are masters at it. You have managed to sulk about a throw-away line on a different forum, for perhaps 3 years. Amazing. Thank god I'm a bender. But anyway, I see you have someone called “George” in your life. Perhaps he is the inflatable autopilot? But assuming he is a bloke then let’s hope he never farts in bed otherwise you will be sulking into the next century!

It would appear to be a lot better on here.... Casual homophobia or not!

No, French is so modern and unclassical. Trendy. In vogue in fact. You'd never catch me using French words. Pah!

Looks like 'Lola' has gotten a bit 'uppitty'.
Yes. Interesting to see how the "new" mods' behaviour progresses. They start out all meek and mild and gradually, over time, turn into authoritarian monsters. (Not Mr Athy it has to be said, he has remained mellow throughout). Absolute power corrupts absolutely etc. It becomes all about the mod, about saving face etc and they lose sight of what they are there for in the first place. An amazing lack of self-awareness.
I note that Dan's last post on the forum was in March so that just goes to show how important it is to him.
Mods are running wild I tell you! - lock up your daughters!
(fortunately I don't have any daughters. I wouldn't have been able to stand the sulking anyway).

Your attempts to silence me, and thus my opinion, only further supports the fact you're a bigoted old man. You bandy the word homophobic around like confetti, which only serves to undermine it. As they say, there's no fool like an old fool. You qualify for both 😊

You qualify for both 😊 You can wriggle, squirm and scream like a girl having her pigtails pulled, as much as you like but it doesn’t alter the fact that you are a homophobe. It does explain a lot though about your behaviour though, and I’m only sorry I didn’t realise it sooner.
