Just been on a 2 day stone carving course, great fun, playing with different tools, textures and techniques. The shell on one face is from an Oops moment, accidental cracking following a fossil shell. It's portland stone 150 million years old, you can smell trapped gas while carving it. I need to get some tools and stone and do a bit more Before the artless philistines arrive, the hole in the middle is so it can be used as a mud weight. 😜 .
