Out walking down by the Weaver and saw The Daniel Adamson moored. What a cracking boat. Now I'd be happy on rivers in that Hoping kind Mr Stump will put a couple of photos up at his convenience. Rog

I'll bet, would love to see it in steam.
When we walked by there was an engine running with a wet exhaust, but whether that was a water cooled genny, I don't know.
Was very pleased to discover it remains steam driven.

I've seen a video of it travelling on the Weaver through a shallow bit, battling through silt.

Looking at the NHS webshite the boat may have a steam driven lighting plant. It seems very probable that there will be an oil burner of some sort in there as well - possibly even a modern quiet diesel generator - to take care of modern electric power requirements like toilets etc.
