The no return in 7 days also means that the 'enforcers' only need to visit the area once a week to ensure they catch the pisstakers... but are they over stayers or early returnies. CRT would have to know to take it further. is there a penalty for returning early?

I was enquiring if the resrictions in Atherstone were new. From that you gave me your view on other boaters. Just seemed a leap. And those who ignore regulation, will continue to do so whatever signs are put up don't you think. Not entirely sure where murder fits in so I'll skip that. Rog Are you getting quite old and forgetful? An old wreck of Thunderboat perhaps? Just wondering because in your OP you said “... but this none return business seems without ryhme nor reason.” When I went on to explain the rhyme and reason you found that inexplicable and a non-sequitur. Which is odd. Yes indeed, very old and forgetful. Also incapable of explaining myself it appears. My reference to plucking no return limits out of thin air was relative to current legislation, as was the ryhme nor reason comment. Sorry I confused the issue. I understand your comments now of course. Rog

I also cannot understand anyone wanting to stay in this stretch at Atherstone when there are nice moorings at the top and bottom away from the town. Unless, of course, you're not really a boater, but a freeloading scrounger who doesn't want to pay for the convenience that most of us do pay for. The TV reception is also crap!!!!

I wish to moor there as it's close to the shops and the laundrette. As it happens we only stayed 3 hours, but my enquiry was about the mooring restrictions which were new to me, not about how long I wished to stay.
I don't watch TV so reception's not an issue.
What exactly is your definition of a 'freeloading scrounger'?

And there is an aligator in the field next the moorings... But, Co op is nice and close though, nice food. Curry house on the corner of the high street is banging, herbs and spice, can take your own booze in also. Kings head pub is nice and close.
