Lovely photo's John, if only I would be a bit closer, I would surely have come to this happening.

I hate it. I'm just relieved that he didn't post any more photos. If he does I will not be looking at them because I find it all very disturbing.
I might as well block John now as I'm sure he's going to put more up simply to irritate me.

I first saw a Humber keel when I was about 13. Under motor power it was moving very nicely up the thames near kingston. It was part of the "Thames young mariners" club down at Richmond. It made a real impression on me at the time (it was the bow wave) and I decided at that point that it was a completely pointless vessel and I would never want to own one of these boats under any circumstances.

I have had a great time at the "Folk Sail Weekend" at Goole. As a newby to the club I was lurking on the edge but I was told to move up, so I ended up behind the "Comrade" and the "Amy Howson" alongside "Sobriety" SAM_1566 by mudlarker2, on Flickr There were not as many boats as expected due to low water and weed problems but there were enough to be a decent show. Wow John, thank you very much for the posting the photos of all these beautifull boats.
Looking at them makes me happy, and sad at the same time, because I wasn't there myself.
You were definitely at the right place at the right time, good for you.
Peter.
