I took a photo today of two widebeams breasted up, just by a bridgehole. I wasent sure if I would put it here or in the Facebook group moored like a Twat. about ten minutes after taking it Sam said your on Facebook. the boat behind had already done it. so here is their photo. with me steering past the widebeams. has anyone else got any moored like a twat pictures.

is it a pair of hotel boats?
They do seem to be very similar and some hotel boat operators (not all) do seem to have issues around assumed entitlement.

Are they hire boats at base? It seems fairly normal these days for hire boat companies to take the piss regarding blocking the cut when their boats are all in. Next time, ram then hard, reverse, ram them again and keep going until someone comes out of the boatyard.

Wide beam hire boats on the K&A?
That's rather shocking.

Why not contact that hire company and give them a bollocking about their sheer arrogance? Their phone line works best at 3am. the boat behind mentioned it and they moved it. the widebeam we are by now got through but he said it was tight.

Honey Street is also a good place to explore Avebury, Silbury Hill and West Kennet Long Barrow. It's also close on the start of the Ridgeway footpath. The white horse you can see at Honey Street was cut in 1812, and is a fabulous place for a picnic, with views over the Vale Of Pewsey. Incidendtly, I once had a game of cricket on it many years ago.

to take out the pot bellied steered. this is my pic. I would have dealt with that by stopping my boat wedged between their fore-ends in ahead gear and telling them to shift the outside boat. If they didn't then I'd simply cut their headrope, go ahead and, having got as far as possible between them, cut the stern rope as well and then leave the utter wankers to sort the mess out.
