If the photo is of you, you're very young. Shouldn't you be at work or raising kids or something? My pension is due in 4 years, I wouldn't want you to let me down. Rog Why thank you, 43 years young, no kids thank god and I do have sundays off, don’t worry back in the office soon.

Ashby was a bit low this morning so I took matters into my own hands, but of hot wiring and away we go dredging! Yeah... erm froggy - bout that hopper moored opposite yer toy - we had to retrieve it from its place blocking the whole canal as yer chain had snapped! The front chain had also pretty much pulled away the bolt, the Armco and the concrete block in the bank - prolly due to the angle she ended up at! That horrid knot in yer remaining bit o chain? That was us I’m afraid as there was nowt else around to use to Re secure the beastie with... have fun! Couldn’t dredge our moorings while you’re at it could you 😁 How did you get on with the Ashby hire boat Friday night and last nigh, seen them moored up on the bend just south of you, 10 younglings I think on it?

its nice to see some traditional rope work anyway. Being able to construct a wotonearthisthatshit bargee security knot is a dying skill. Crikey Any fool would know it's a double round turn- back through the hole- two hitch sheet bend - granny knot I'm only looking at a phone screen so its awkward to see it in detail. @froggy The blue boat with the handrail visible isn't built by Pickwell and Arnold is it?
