I see that Paris has brought back the bad old days of 'the pissoir' with a new design that will appeal even more to the exhibitionist! π± Whats your thoughts to these open urinals? Should they be deployed on our streets & towpaths? After all, its got to be an improvement on drunkard chavs / boaters pissing in shop doorways & telephone boxes? www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-45174382

Maybe not ones as open as that, but the type they have in Dutch cities would be a good idea.

From the look of this one, might as well carry on pissing up the wall!

Another stupid invention, like those perches at UK railway stations that are on a slant so you can't even sit on them. Has anyone else noticed that the bogs at UK railway stations are nearly always locked? I suggest traipsing round to your local MP and asking to use their loo whilst you wait for your train/bus.

Are the ladies just supposed to exercise proper bladder control? Ladies have the she wee option www.shewee.comOr they can go to the doctor and ask for a strapadictemy I wouldn't use one of those pissoirs. I prefer to find "natural cover" I can't see them solving the problem of people pissing in the bushes if that's the intention.

I bought my daughter a shewee to keep in the car βin caseβ she refuses to try it! I suggested she practiced in the shower before using it in an emergency. Her reply roughly translated to βno Mumβ

If they can get all the tens of thousands of visitors the canals get every day pissing into one of these along every few yards of towpath, they'll have all the canals brimming over and open to navigation again in no time.

Don't forget the signage. Signage is key to empowering people.
Making life better by passing water.
