Reading the news the other day and came across this story concerning lab made meat, not being much of a meat eater myself, I found it rather interesting. I think that this will happen and killing animals for food will be seen as barbaric by more than the few vegetarians that dont eat meat on ethical grounds in the future. (I do however worry about the hemp weaved sandal wearing Vegans who have the need to tell us about their dietary preferences within a minute of meeting you, Will they have to get something new to lecture us all about? ) 🙄 Whats your thoughts on it? Would you be happy to sit down to a medium rare lab made stake? Will cows end up taking over the world by drowning us with milk from their udders if we stop culling them? news.sky.com/story/lab-grown-meat-is-the-future-and-environmentally-friendly-says-think-tank-11485316.

Humans could be fed with dead humans who have been mushed up into a liquid and then run down pipes straight into their stomachs as in the movie The Matrix. Humans as batteries for the robots' driverless cars. Some streets in London already have this.

Vegans are hilarious.
The two funniest things are the vegan mugger joke and the vegan who decided to tell everyone they were going to climb everest to prove it was OK to be vegan then died in the attempt.
I just think that is unbelievably funny.
Who gives a shit what other people eat? As long as thy don't eat me or my kids I ain't bovvered.

We often have plastic meat in one form or another. Nothing to do with a need to be veggie but just that we like particular meat free products. We always have a bag of plastic mince in the freezer, I believe it is made from soya, tried Tofu but Chris didn't care for the texture. Amazing all these foodstuffs all man-made and just one Molecule away from plastic Phil

Old humans liquefied. Old humans turned into biscuits.

If 'man-made meat' can be made, why not? As long as it looks like, and tastes like the real thing. Actually, I'm not sure that matters. But what would happen to all the animals which would have been born and had a few months to years to enjoy their lives? They wouldn't be needed any more.
It's all a bit like electric and self-driving cars, all theory, not going to happen whilst oil and animals are the cheaper option.
It could be argued that stem cells have souls, they are alive, so 'meat' produced from them is still MURDER.

One of my sons is vegan, but as I pointed out to him "if we weren't supposed to eat animals, then they wouldn't be made out of meat".

foxy made the point, if we all went vegan or veggie. would we ever see cows sheep, pigs, chickens or such farm animals again? Yes, this is true. I saw an interview with some vegan crusader and blogger a few days ago, she had attracted thousands of followers and she was proud of "how many animals she had saved from being killed", seemingly oblivious to the obvious fact that if demand for meat falls then fewer animals are bred, and they can't be killed if they aren't born in the first place.
