Are there any photos of the miscreants? Are their employers aware of their behaviour? Lol!

the whole thing was staged by ting dene so that when they take over the canals from a failed CRT they will have more ammunition to do away with the itinerants. Nah, let the National Trust take over at least they are democratic... Ban barbed wire fences and let the animals run riot! Page 6 on the link - fluffy bunnies are taking over!

I suppose NT would be quite a good solution in financial terms.

The Canal and River Trust are still going after all these years so it's obvious the H M Government are quite happy with what they have achieved.

All 6 of those years? Well they do say the first six years are the most important.
Not sure if that applies to waterways infrastructure management projects to be fair.

With so much going on keeping our fine politicians busy I doubt you can say they are happy, just not upset enough to take any interest at all in crt, which is probably a good thing as political interference doesn’t usually help.

It's being reported on Faceache that Mr Kanda's boat sank because the wash from the speeding hire boat pulled off a patch of tarp on the side.

Any link to the Farcebook info, or any updates from other sources?

They've just heard about it on Canalworld. Bit slow, aren't they?
"Looking at the photo it looks like it is the wooden boat that effectively sits in a huge plastic bag with a bilge pump on the go. It is amazing that it survived this long."
CRT say they "are concerned". So, that's alright, then!

It is amazing that it survived this long." If true, this side of the story is quite damning on the apparent condition of the sunken boat before this incident. I also suspect those supporters clamoring for C&RT to take action to place (more) controls on people who hire canal boats, may well come to regret this (I am not advocating or supporting bad behaviour by any group or individual), this could well be a two edged sword that most likely would be used to enable the removal of any boats deemed not to meet C&RT's safety/condition/suitabilty criteria over and above their current and past practices.

CRT say they "are concerned". So, that's alright, then! I have serious reservations as to CaRT’s enthusiasm for acting to support Mr Ward. They spent £76,000 to get him off their waterways in the first year of taking over from BW. They succeeded in having the s.8 affirmed, but that proved a pyrrhic victory, because the sectioned boat had been sold and replaced by then, and the judge refused an injunction to force Mr Ward to remove his replacement vessels. kanda.boatingcommunity.org.uk/crt-demand-76000-from-disabled-boater-denied-legal-aid/ It would be an excellent PR exercise if they did demonstrate in some active assistance, that they held no grudge, and pursued the miscreants responsible.
