I'm thinking of going as far north as possible on the Lancaster Canal next year, has anyone done this trip?

Launched our first trailer boat on the Lanky a couple of times, Moons Bridge and Bridge House marinas. Wonderful, easy no lock jaunt up to Tewitfield, you can stop of at Hest Bank and go down to the foreshore, find bones of Chinese cockle pickers to add to your collection. 6 lock detour to Glasson Dock well worth it too, there's a wondrous smokehouse. Go for it.

We were booked onto the Ribble Link & into Liverpool this summer.Actually booked both in January but certain things changed our plans...The latest idea is that we'll try the same again for 2019.

Lancaster canal looks nice.
I have not been there but there should be some scrote dismembering opportunities and plenty of bridges to hit.

If anyone's interested, Tim 'n Pru are on the Lancaster Canal tonight on Channel 4 at 19:30. I've pretty much decided to do the Lancaster next year with a stop off to see the U boat.

Very much fancy that, but you'll be unsurprised to hear I don't fancy the Ribble link, so we'll hire.
Plan to do it at sometime before we pack in.

I wouldn't want to do the link in your boat.
Not my idea of fun.
