i remember that. aweful. all ways allow overtaking on a mutli lame road pull into another lane. on a single lane just slow down and give them a chance to overtake safely. I lived my audi/vw engine if anyone got close I would floor it. they wouldent be able to see a thing. the smokey buggers I've mentioned it before, I came within seconds of getting tangled up in that, you know something very wrong has happened when the double decker X4 bus is doing a u turn on a single carriageway A road! I followed him, I was with the Dwarf who was 14 months old at the time, I wouldn't have been much help to anyone at the scene. Can't believe that's 3 years ago. it was a sickner. I am glad the driver who was an off road driving instructor was jailed. I suspect being an instructor was an aggravating circumstance. and land rover sacked him for his actions. officially I suspect he was dismissed for being imprisoned. I remember watching a video about it. heart breaking it was.

You may say that but he has a very strict engine oil change regime.

Disc or disk?
Discuss.

ok. A disc is a round flat thing. A disk refers to the thing you store data on for a computer. could be a removable floppy one or a part of the hard drive. that's as good an explanation you will get out of me. remember the 3 half inch floppy disks with about 200mb of data on.

My second computer had 5.25" floppies which actually were floppy! And a Panasonic KXP-1081 9 pin dot matrix printer.
The first one a Sinclair QL had microdrive tapes which were miniature magnetic cassette tapes.

When we started Skylight Circus in 1989 we wanted to produce professional info etc (instead of using letraset and a photocopier) so we asked for a grant from the council, 5k got us an RM machine 30gb drive and a postscript printer. We then got an amstrad for home. My phone, pixel 2 xl, will now do everything way and beyond what they would do. We also got tinternet, compuserve, in about 92. Dial up modem, eh them were the days.
