I'm a bit of a bow saw fanatic. I've got 24,30 and 36 inch Edsbyns swede saws (tubular frame old school Swedish bow saws and I also have 24,30 and yesterday added 36 inch Tyzack Turner British bow saws. Oval steel frames and aluminium knuckle guards. A few other random ones but those are the proper "sets". What I would really like is a 42 inch. I think Sandvik made them and possible EIA (Edsbyns). The frame is about 46 inches end to end. That would be great so if anyone sees any excessively large bow saws please let me know. This is my tyzack turner set, completed just yesterday when I located the big (36 inch) one in a bundle of 4 random saws on fleabay which I got for £8 Tyzack sons & Turner: Edsbyns Industri AB (EIA). I prefer the EIA saws despite the lack of knuckle guard they are nicer saws to use and higher equality.

Our bow saw is a Bahco. Swedish - but they do have some of their tools made in Argentina nowadays. I'm looking for a spare blade. Thought you might be interested.
But it's a bit pointless gathering and cutting your own firewood, as you need somewhere to store it for a year to dry out, and we just ain't got the room.

Any colour will do I think the most likely 42 inch will be a Sandvik which would probably be red or orange. If it happened to be an Edsbyns I would be jumping up and down for joy even more than I usually am!
