Well not the planned day I was hoping for....
Got in the car this morning and within 50 yds it was obvious something was wrong, stopped car and found a significant puddle of oil. Went to marina office and apologised and asked what they thought I should do to clean mess up. End result with an absolute minimum of fuss and very little expense, car back on the road and spillage cleared up.
A bit of bad luck that if it wasn't for the good attitude of others could have turned into an expensive time and/or lots of hassle, hope this friendliness continues.
(Oil pressure sensor came apart - for the techy people)

Well good behaviour on both sides, because you fessed up and cleaned it up, you didn’t try to pretend it was someone else’s mess.

Glad you're safely on the road again, and that it wasn't an expensive problem to cure. You were lucky that it didn't happen somewhere in the middle of nowhere, and that other people had a good attitude (just like you). A problem like that can happen, as you showed here, but it's not a common thing to go wrong. Peter.

Thankfully I picked up the last of my stuff from Devon on Monday (7 hr round trip but no more storage costs). Car is due to be scrapped in a couple of weeks.... Whilst today has been unfortunate, it could have been much worse....

Even better then that it wasn't expensive to repair, I hope that your car will behave well, and look after you for it's last couple of weeks, until it will go to the scrappy. Peter.
