I've been searching for a dink for the yot. Anyway I found the perfect one and bought it now its on the boat. It had been sitting upside down on a shed in the boatyard for years. Owner had painted it piano for his kids who meanwhile grew up and did other things. Its perfect for the yot. Quite a heavy layup actually its quite tricky to get it onto boat but it can either go on wheelhouse top or on foredeck. 6ft6. I like to be able to have a dinghy on board to prevent damage in locks. Chuffed to bits with this one I really dislike dinghies with square bows (prams) which is why I had to have this one. Made by MAXIM MARINE in Berkshire so a proper Thames valley dinghy.

Prevent damage in locks? Use it as a fender?
Colour matches your curtains.

Yes. Phone thought I wrote piano for some reason. Its pink. The pink dink.
I'm happy with my latent homosexuality so pink is not an issue for me.

its a dinghy What you do is get some rowlocks and oars (I have these) you put the row locks in the rowlock holders then place the oars in the row locks then perform a leverage operation in order to propel the vessel forwards. The technical term for this is "rowing" or "pulling". There is the option for an outboard motor (internal combustion engine mounted on top of a L shaped drive leg with a propeller below the water or an electric motor sealed in an underwater pod with propeller which drives the vessel forwards). That's what dinghies are generally for. It does not have a centre board so no sailing. I hate sailing but I love dinghies. I will be mostly using this vessel as a small pulling dinghy as a tender to the yot. Tootling off to empty the shit suitcase that sort of thing.

Got one of these in my shed. Suspect it needs a rewind on the magneto coil. Saving it for.when I remove the flowers from the one by Littleborough moorings.
