As it's another Friday, as promised here's an update and reminder. There are 2 more weeks to enter your photo.
To date there have been 5 entries. Here's the original text (with amendments in Italics), posted two weeks ago:
"Some here have expressed an interest in holding a third annual Thunderboat photo competition, and it seems that people have been pointing the finger at me to organise it. So, I shall have a go. However, in this case, it’ll go by my rules which I deem reasonable and fitting:
1. Entries are to have been taken during this year 2018, and have not been published anywhere else (not even on Thunderboat!).
2. Entries are to have been taken preferably with this competition in mind. The theme is to be of boats and navigationable waterways or similar, as befitting the general spirit of the Thunderboat discussion forum.
3. Entries are to be sent to my e-mail address: tullynessleturnip@yahoo.com, or to be sent to me via Thunderboat’s Personal Message service (with your name, of course, and a possible title for the your submitted photo). I shall show all entries on Friday 23rd November on a separate voting/poll thread, and there will be two weeks for voting up until Midnight Friday 7th December.
Photos entered for this competition but displayed elsewhere will be disqualified. This thread is not for posting entries.
In the case of there being less than 15 entries, there will be no competition.
(Do not impatiently post your photos for this competition on other Thunderboat threads, keep them under wraps until Fri 23rd Nov!)
There’ll be no 2019 calendar made from these photos, but I shall send small prizes to the winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd slots assuming the competition has a decent amount of entries and is taken seriously, and to my mind I will consider a minimum of 15 entries - less than this and I shan’t bother to run the competition.
So get cracking, there are still another 4 weeks in which to snap a winner and surprise everyone here!
(and now there are 3 weeks remaining).
I have put this thread in General Boating as I think this is the appropriate classification for This Sort of Thing.
