One to keep an eye on? "The EU is run to benefit the German economy. I think that the people of France have just twigged. Macon is an EU puppet." "At least we now know what Macron and his open borders globalist ilks EU Army will now be used for. Against the peoples of Europe protesting their own replacement by the cosmopolitan elites." "Why do we still insist this is about fuel prices? This is about 3 things. Cost of living + levels of immigration + free money to newcomers. These people are sick of being constantly taxed, and seeing the cost of living constantly rise whilst seeing their tax money squandered on new mouths whose only contribution to society is making more new mouths. "They get all the benefits and you get all the bills" " "Hope they arrest 3,000,000 wonder what they going to do with them?" "I'm with the protesters 100%! Macron is a globalist trying to erase his country's statehood and identity so it is subsumed into an anti-democratic European superstate run by bureaucrats in the interests of multinational corporations and big banks. I wish them well." "And yet they wonder why we didn't want to stay in the EU! Can you imagine what they'd do if France voted for Frexit!!! " "I think this has little to do about the tax rises.... it's the obvious what the people are angry. Get ready for a show of force by the establishment tomorrow in London!!!... bet Khan wish he had kept the water cannons." www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6474065/Hundreds-yellow-vest-protesters-detained-Paris.html#comments

The strange thing about this is, when you hear the yellow folk being interviewed, none of them seem to make the obvious link between their declining standard of living and globalism/ European Union membership. Perhaps they have some kind of 'belonging' to Europe that us Brits don't feel, an instinctive feeling that overrides their logic. Otherwise, we can only come to the conclusion that the French are stupid, a bunch of thick cunts, that deserve a declining standard of living.

Last time we were in Paris there were Romanian gypsies lurking and pestering all over the place. With half of North Africa camping in the streets of Paris, it does look like Parisians have shot themselves in the foot. The French are generally pretty hopeless in everything they do, apart from making cheeses and wines, aren't they? I expect they're just in the EU in the hope that somehow Germany will eventually instill some order into their country.

All a bit of Schadenfreude for me. Macron harangues the British over Brexit and he cannot even control his own country as the "gilets jaunes" have shown.

And still we have wee little Theresa May trotting hither and thither, uphill and down the corridors of the EU, clutched in her wee hand a piece of paper "Please sirs could you look at this proposal; I do hope you like this one; I can always go back and think up another if you don't like this one. Please sir, do have a look at it, please".

I don't know why the Police are directing the Brexit-Betrayal March to go along one route, and the Stop-the-Brexit-Betrayal March Far Left Social Justice Warriors to stomp along another route distanced from the first march. Let them meet head on, say I, and have a Right Royal Punch-Up. This nonsense has already been rumbling along for two and a half years. Which march will Megan Markle be attending?

Is it not time that the French are given a referendum, whether to stay in the grasp of the EU or to leave and stand on their own two feet?

The french do have a point about Macron.
He's 40, married to his former teacher who started shagging him when he was 15 and she was 39. Married when he was 18. He has no children. Made plenty of money in Rothschild investment bank.
Definitely not a man of the people. One for the guillotine perhaps.
I expect the fact he's only 40 must be a bit awkward for some as well. A nipper.

I've read that this is not just about the tax on fuel, but has carried on as the French are fed up with being shoved to the side whilst immigrants from North Africa and the Middle East are being brought in as cheap labour to replace them - just as we see happening in Britain. It's a pity to see the usual nonsense of burning rubbish bins and overturning cars, as this just makes the demonstrators look daft. If they have an argument, then they should take it straight to those it does concern and address any issues properly and quickly. I do wonder how they have all those Police to spare, yet none at Calais to prevent illegals from attempting to cross to England. Also, why are the Police not siding with the people they are supposed to be serving (OK, yes, hollow laughs, as we all know the Police are really the bodyguards of the elite).
We all know that if politicians are got rid of, others will drop in to fill their empty offices, but the present crop of representatives have done themselves no favours and have been well and truly exposed as being a bunch of sleazy buffoons.
