I have a Lenovo 2 in 1. I bought this under protest, because most of the manufacturers have stopped making netbooks. I really like netbooks, proper protection for the screen because if it can be broken you can guarantee I will do it. Also a proper keyboard for my fat fingers, none of this on screen nonsense. The removable contact between the screen and keyboard is something else that can go wrong, and mine has.
I dropped the 2 in 1 in India and cracked the screen. Not terminally, but there are a host of other problems which is leading me towards thinking of buying a replacement. The usb ports on the keyboard bit are dodgy, whenever I plug anything in the keyboard becomes temperamental. I have Windows 10 on it which I really dislike. The final straw was when I loaded a new 4g dongle on it the other day. Every time I open it, the computer crashes.
I'm looking for a recommendation. The main things for me are simplicity (for a tech idiot) and low power consumption. I'm not interested in gaming and such like, all I use a computer for is surfing the web, nothing else. Screen size should be 9 or 10 inches and I'll need at least 2 usb ports. As I said I really dislike Windows 10 but I'm a bit nervous about moving away from windows, will my dongles etc. work? I really don't want to have to start buying new ones. A netbook would be perfect but I'm not sure they are made any more so I guess I might have to get their poor relation, the 2 in 1. I could spend 150 quid but maybe with my very basic needs I could get a non windows one and pay less?
Any recommendations?
