Really? because remainers are stalling Brexit billions if not trillions have been wasted! It could have all been better spent on us, rather than improving infrastructure in the EU and moving UK companies abroad with EU money [which is ours!] The EU isnt about helping us, its about help the very rich as John says, so when a politician makes a mistake like Cameron did, we took our chance and voted for out, and thats when it all went wrong, they have no intention of letting second careers on the EU gravy train go thats why the idiot remainers are just that idiots, because they really believe the EU is a force for good! Example they tell us we have to do more for the environment yet run around in huge cars [normally german] whilst we get taxed to death! Example they could do all the business in the EU chamber from home in todays tech world but they dont! Every day MEPs are flying all over the place at our expense and it isnt cattle class for them, their are hundreds more but whats the point, you like being a mushroom [kept in the dark and fed on shit]
With a mouth like that, you could earn a fortune offering blowjobs to remainer mushrooms.

You and one or two others on here should listen to some of the lectures by a staunch Remainer Yanis Varoufakis .... this one will do for a start (please pay particular attention to the Q&A after about 16.5 ) I disagree with him really on only one major point and that is that he believes the EU can be reformed .... I don't

When he refers to the problem of the 'architecture' of the Eurozone I assume he means the single currency, used across countries with vastly different working cultures, which would usually have different currencies which could be engineered to fluctuate to take account of developing changes in productivity etc. Yes, the Euro was a very poor idea, and is doomed to failure. Will its demise lead to the destruction of the Union itself though?

I think the euro has established itself, and the eu are now so wrapped up in it, that any collapse of the euro would consequently see the eurozone crash spectacularly.

Will its demise lead to the destruction of the Union itself though? As I said, I don't agree with everything he says ...... but he is a very sharp, concise thinker and he has some very deep first hand insights into the workings of the EU (and the socioeconomic scene in general) and his lectures always make me sit back and think. Often it helps me clarify my views (sometimes not following the way he goes but I usually find I end up with a better understanding of how things work) It is easy to understand why he was so highly thought of as a lecturer in economics I enjoy listening to him because although persuasive .... he is not dogmatic, he helps you form your own opinions eta, I think by architecture he means the way that the bureaucrats are the unaccountable top tier not the elected parliament this puts finance above politics in the control position ..... money men and big business, the globalisers control the reins of the EU and not the politicians

My last 3 posts above deleted, so this thread can remain serious. Ross please don't take it personal, mostly your ..... oddball ? posts don't bother me but that was just a solid block of posts in the middle of what was mostly a fairly carefully thought out discussion and it just wiped it out.

But now it can continue in a serious vein. Will you be asking Jenlyn to remove his: "With a mouth like that, you could earn a fortune offering blowjobs to remainer mushrooms." ? I didn't approve of some of the other remarks but they were just a line or one comment Your's were half a bloody page Ross. If it had just been the one, I would have muttered under my breath and left it at that but Jeez ......... three in a row !!!

It's an art. Anyway, this afternoon, you and I can go and delete these superfluous posts (these last few) and then no-one will be the wiser Mornin'! By the way! Ok but how the hell do you do that ....... I just went to edit post, erased everything and it then told me I had to post a message !!! How do you wipe out every trace of it's existence ? I have never done that before, I have always been happy to leave my posts to stand, good or bad.

I just press the 'settings' symbol top right, the drop down box has delete, press that, and then there is a confirmation box that appears mid-screen asking are you sure you want to delete, and press 'delete'. Sometimes I have noticed that the delete option is missing from the 'settings' symbol. Oh well, never mind, Petition to Remain thread continues from here, everyone!

Yes, I voted "Leave", same as in the referendum, but as there have been nearly a quarter of a million votes in this poll now it won't have had an enormous effect on the percentages.
It's a bit amusing though, that on an anti-Brexit page with 15,000 followers, and with a very heavily loaded poll question, that the vote is even more emphatic than it was in the referendum. It's widely predicted that Jack Dart will delete the poll before it reaches the end, as he has apparently done with several other polls which haven't gone the way he was hoping.
