Is this on similar lines?:
Cultural Appropriation.
"This video by the BBC suggests that white people should not ony avoid sending emojis with brown hands and faces but they should not even reference black people in short video clips and memes, lest they commit âdigital-blackface.â You cannot make it up.
Letâs be clear, the notion of cultural-appropriation has been cooked up to allegedly âprotectâ so-called âcultural artefactsâ misappropriated by a white, mainstream culture. These artefacts, they say, should only be used by people of the culture from which they originate. Never mind sharing like rational, reasonable people. So white people using images of black people is dubious according to the BBC.
A little white kid getting her hair braided is totally out too. Not acceptable. Thatâs cultural appropriation apparently. Hair braids belong, as a cultural artefact, to black culture. As does wearing dangly earrings (err⌠Iâll let them scrap it out with the gypsies over that one). As does, we are now being told, sending a thumbs-up emoji showing a brown hand. White people should âthink carefullyâ before âappropriatingâ any of these sacred cultural objects.
So when I see black people in a car I say, âwait a minute, white people invented cars, thatâs cultural appropriation.â When I see black people in an aircraft I now say, âwhite people invented aeroplanes, thatâs cultural appropriation. When I see a black person using any number of thousands of day to day goods and services invented by white people I think, âthatâs cultural appropriation.â
And when I see a black person in hospital using an MRI machine I say, âhold on, white people invented MRI machines. Excuse me, but thatâs a culturally-appropriated machine. "
" I have found that the best response to this poorly-disguised racism is to say, âYouâre culturally appropriating my language.â
Britain invented most decent stuff so they canât travel by rail, use the World Wide Web, watch the television, use an electric light (Humphrey Davy NOT Edison the thief), have a shit on a toilet, or even wipe their black arse with bog paper. It would all be appropriation and I would be horrifyingly offended.
We also put the clock zones throughout the World and consequently, your checking the hour of the day wouldnât be permissible; we invented Time. "

If I recall correctly, rationing for sweets was the last to go in 1954. I can recall being given charge of my own ration book. I felt very grown up and important at the tender age of 8 handing my ration book to the shop keeper to snip the coupon out, accept my money and then hand me back my coupon book along with my purchase. Phil You can thank the Germans for all that rationing, murdering thousands of merchant seamen with their sneaky U-boats, and trying to starve the British into submission and slavery. Pretty much what they're still attempting in the guise of the EU. Still making Brits suffer on their filthy and overcrowded Northern and Arriva trains.

I remember my sis being in control of what we picked for our sweet treat..b..... parma violets..I hated them so she got to eat them all My gran would carefully cut a mermaid toffee into 4 to share..our Sunday treat..I tried to find them cos I thought it'd be funny to do that with granddaughter cos she has so much but they don't do them anymore...I'm not the 'nice Nana' who buys her stacks of sweets...thats ok with me Actually thinking about it ..it'd be cool to be known as the Nana who cut a toffee in 4 ... Also I think if we had a Waitress I'd be in asking for a trio of chocolate ducklings and specifying I want the box with 'Ugly' on it..

The ones I feel sorry for are the disabled. OK, people don't call them mongs any more but they've had to suffer decades of the same term. ................ except for the unfortunate but incredibly brave Billy Monger. ...... what a name to be saddled with!

As to the video above:
"Who is this posh bitch in the video? She makes Her Maj sound like some slag down Brixton market."
And this is a good counter:

We also put the clock zones throughout the World and consequently, your checking the hour of the day wouldnât be permissible; we invented Time. " I watched a lengthy debate on cultural misappropriation a while back. A point was made that white people should not have dreadlocks. The rationale was that this styling 'belonged' to black people. It's a desirable look and therefore has a value. Any white person choosing to have their hair done this way was committing an act of 'cultural theft'. Another contributor, a black woman, had 'smoothed' hair. When challenged on why she was stealing the cultural look of a white girl she replied she only did so to fit in at work. This was perfectly fine she said, because she was part of an oppressed minority. So to sum up ladies and gents, if we're white, we must dress and do our hair exactly as we have in the past otherwise we're guilty of cultural theft. If we're black, we can present ourselves however we choose.

If we're black, we can present ourselves however we choose.   Itâs all just another example of the pendulum swinging too far the other way. It was wrong when a particular race, colour, sex was suppresssd for many years to the point there was much suffering. I doubt many here would agree with black slavery for example. Now we live in times where the majority live together fairly happily regardless of our race, colour, sex or culture. However what we are seeing is a minority who want to push things too far and make life difficult for the majority âIsmâ words are now being highjacked to try to control our freedom to think. A good example of this is how the word anti-semitism is being used to shut up free speech. The use of the word âAnti-semitismâ is appropriate when discussing the holcaust, but itâs use in politics just undermines itâs true meaning. The other thing is that we ARE all different. Life would be boring if we were all the same. We should celebrate and enjoy our differences, thatâs how we learn from eachother. Different cultures bring with them many unique qualities. Team work (even if the team is just a couple) is more successful when we have complementing but different skills and abilities. Teams donât work so well when everyone has the same skills and abilities. Our race, colour, sex and culture shouldnât affect how we all work as a team though. So why is it in some cases? Who is stirring things up and why?

I'd suggest it's white apologists (liberals) who stir it up. No particular reason, other than feeling guilt for the slave trade, the empire, and Love Thy Neighbour. Minorities feel empowered by all this guilt and, knowing that however radically they speak that the white apologists will back them up, speak loudly.

Surely the only threat to multiculturism is a minority of people (in any culture) who donât want to integrate because they are so cock sure their way is right and any other way is wrong. This is of course our beef with most forms of extremism. I think most things that different cultures bring to the party are harmless. Itâs when a culture, belief, or view is shoved in our faces where we get angry. That I do understand.

I know luton pretty well, and my experience has been that over the years the place has divided into areas. Some of these areas are no go areas for certain cultures. You can deny that as much as you so please, but I know differently.
