Is it just me or has anyone else had an "Ins 1" from C&RT without a previous email?
Note that C&RT seem unsure if they are asking for a copy of the insurance policy or the insurance certificate.
Dear XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
You need to send us a copy of your boat insurance immediately
Boat: XXXXXXXXX (999999)
We have not received a copy of your boat insurance certificate that we requested on 13/03/2019. If you don’t send this to us within 28 days of this letter, you will be in breach of our Licensing Terms and Conditions and we will have to terminate your boat licence.
Take action now
Send us a copy of your insurance policy either to the address at the end of this letter, or by scanning and emailing it to me at ins.check@canalrivertrust.org.uk.
If you don't have valid insurance you need to buy this as a matter of urgency and send us a copy of the certificate.
This is now a serious issue, therefore I would ask you to get in contact with me as soon as possible.
Please find more information on the back of this letter. For a full copy of the General Terms and Conditions for Boat Licences, go to canalrivertrust.org.uk/media/library/5962.pdf. Please get in touch if you’d like to be sent a copy in the post.
What happens next
If we don’t receive a copy of your insurance policy within 28 days, your licence will be terminated and you will need to remove your boat from our waterways.
We want to avoid this happening, so please get in touch if you need any help.
Yours sincerely

The following Conditions relate to having an insurance policy and the termination of your licence.

The insurance cover must be maintained for the full duration of the Licence.
8. Termination
8.1 We will write and tell you if we think you have broken the Conditions of your Licence. We will explain how we think you have broken them and how we think you can put things right. We will tell you how long you have to put things right. This time will be at least twenty eight days or longer if reasonable. We may extend the time if you write to us and explain why you need the extra time.
8.2 If you do not put things right within the time we have given you, the Licence will end and you must remove the Boat from our Waterways. We will rebate the cost of the unused part of the Licence in accordance with our Refund Terms (details of which are set out in Schedule 4) as of the date on which you have removed the Boat from our Waterways.”
