I do not doubt that the document existed before I was merely pointing out the recent update with regards to the topic of this thread. Why was it updated and did it include any edits? <iframe width="24.74000000000001" height="3.5600000000000023" style="position: absolute; width: 24.74000000000001px; height: 3.5600000000000023px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_45371937" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.74000000000001" height="3.5600000000000023" style="position: absolute; width: 24.74px; height: 3.56px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1176px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_16367500" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.74000000000001" height="3.5600000000000023" style="position: absolute; width: 24.74px; height: 3.56px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 118px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_59869405" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.74000000000001" height="3.5600000000000023" style="position: absolute; width: 24.74px; height: 3.56px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1176px; top: 118px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_4159721" scrolling="no"></iframe> It states a modified date, so yes it has been edited.

Thats what I assumed yes.
So the question now is does anyone have a copy of it from before it was modified 9 days ago?
I realise it was before the boat in question got stuck but it is noticeable how recent the modification was and that the stoppage notice on the crt website used "published data" as a reason for the fault being with the boat owner.
Eta it almost seems like there is some joined up thinking somewhere.

When I was enrolled on their sub section website, I would often see changes to the excel documents. It used to worry me as I thought I was sometimes going mad after seeing something totally different to what I had seen the day before. It's much cheaper to change the paperwork than correct the screw up at the lock. Anyone naive enough to think CRT are not capable of such deviousness needs to think on. (That's not aimed at anyone in particular).

It would be useful if someone had an older copy of that PDF stored. Maybe @jude has it somewhere as he mentioned it .

Its the kind of thing which needs to be asked in another place but I fear I would be shooting the albatross if I did that.
From the rime of the ancient mariner my favourite poem
'God save thee, ancient Mariner! From the fiends, that plague thee thus!— Why look'st thou so?'—With my cross-bow I shot the ALBATROSS.

That document actually states the width as 4.88 metres. It is only bridge 194 Blake's lock that is 4m. Or am I reading it wrong

So it goes back to MM's question of when and what did they change

I may know the answer but why do lock numbers go one way and bridge numbers the other?
Is it just a simple case of avoiding confusion.

If there's anyone who hasn't woken up to the reality of what cart are really like by now, then they are dead from the neck up. There is enough evidence of their behaviour now, from enough different people. Personally I've been shouting about it for six years, but people don't want to believe there is a navigation authority that are wilfully destroying the waterways. They will fail and something will replace them, but let's hope they haven't fucked it up beyond all repair before then.

Maybe the people building the bridges started from the opposite end of the canal to the navvies digging the cut.

And what does in fact happen afterwards?

So it goes back to MM's question of when and what did they change Changed on the 25th April after their inspector of works realised they had fucked up.
