Id rather like a bidet on board, would this be practical, assuming it's a pumpout situation?

Just lean out the back and hang your arse in the prop wash. Sorted.

Its just the same as a shower install. Waste water disposed of via whale gulper, jabsco puppy or a bilge pump sump system.
Or if you are adventurous you could mount the bidet at sink height and have steps up to it then you could do away with the requirement for a pump.

Just get one of them new fangled sink taps with a shower head rinse gubbins. Just move the dishes first.

I bathed my first born daughter in the sink when she was a tiny baby. Got a photo somewhere of that it was quite funny.

When I was a lad we only had the kitchen sink and an outside toilet. But we were happy....
The first house I bought had an outside bog, swmbo changed that soon enough, we got one of the last improvement grants to have a proper bathroom fitted.

When I were a lad we had two outdoor toilets and 3 indoor toilets two of which were ensuite. And another one out by the stables. The madhouse. The old man did own it outright due to the factories/family silver being sold off but could not afford to keep it in good order. Pretending to be gentry. This place

We've had a bidet on Joanie M since it was new, 12 years ago. No problem. It has a Johnson diaphragm type pump and just discharges into the cut like the shower does with a switch on tje wall in front of you. We picked the smallest one we could find, made by Ideal Standard.
When we specced the boat I did find another narrowboat, The Antidote, with a bidet but the current owner removed it for extra space.

I miss the bidets we had in the house but space on the boat is the problem. Were you thinking of a proper rising spray or just the "foot bath" type?
A suitable seat in the shower could easily be a substitute bidet if you have a long shower hose.........

all conventional narrowboats already have a bidet fitted.
just remove the weedhatch cover and get yer arse down while the prop is turning.
