We're still moored at Sale by the pub !Heading on a bit further tomorrow. Oops sorry, Jeff was driving and I wasn’t paying attention - inside doing stuff! Poor old Jeff always seems to be doing all the work while you're inside doing stuff.  |

Castlefields very quiet once the concert finished around 10:30. Up early to chug around to Pomona lock for 8am. Down onto the Irwell just as the heavens opened but never mind, an interesting cruise down to the Quays where we are now tied up outside the holiday inn, with their free Wi-fi. There is a Services point here which includes a free pumpout machine, pity I didn’t realise that before we had a pumpout yesterday! Mind you it was cheap at £12 (Stretford Marina).   |

Yes but for that you get 3 days mooring, free pumpout etc. The £60 just goes to the Bridgewater canal co, and is free for boats with a full Bridgewater licence. The facilities are provided by Salford council. £60 also buys you a decent meal out with booze, but that doesn’t last 3 days! |

Rog We were moored on the same side as the pub by the car park.No problems for the 2 days/nights we were there.The pub seems more of an eating than boozing place,so clears really quickly at night.We actually met the infamous Sonny who was very pleasant & chatty.He did seem to be getting a couple of other boats to move-both Bridgewater boats. |
