The marina in Thorn is about the only one I can think of, when I was on this stretch we used to visit garages with drums as there aren't many places on the water as it where. There might be some where else that I'm not aware of though.

Thanks, weβd probably better fill up too, before the ravages of the Trent.

Staniland Marina at Thorne.
I know they shut down for a while but their website would indicate they are back up, and selling diesel.
That stretch is a bit of a red diesel desert.

But I would bell them first as we have been caught out on that section once rolling up to what used to be Supreme Marine at Castleford to find they didnt actually have any, so I had to call with drums at the Shell garage.

Yes that's the normal one at castleford, luckily the shell garage isn't too far away.

They were fine to deal with and very friendly. One guy even took Ali out back to show her his dock. At least I think thatβs what he said...They had two NB in that they were blasting ready to spray paint the hulls.

LOL yes they blasted my boat and zingered it there, it used to belong to Hargreaves and they kept the tugs that moved Tom Puddings there, that was years ago when I first started boating. The dry dock is huge it can hold two widebeams with enough room to work on them, I more than likely will be blacking my boat there in a couple of years

Just to add reference diesel along here, Staniland had diesel when we passed this morning. Bluewaters pump looked out of order. Also be aware that Wykewell lift bridge after Thorne requires a phone call to CRT as it has a problem. We rang this morning and arranged for them to come open it at 3pm today.
