Spotted this at Stanley Ferry, another one for bargemast to identify. What a lovely little barge. That's indeed a lovely little barge you've found there Jim, this type is fairly rare because not all that many were built. It's the very last type of "WESTLANDER" that was made right from the start as a motorbarge, and they were called "MOTOR-WESTLANDER" I'll add a video of a Dutch brooker that had one for sale, a bit longer and wider than the one on your photos, it's an old ad (2014) so most likely sold by now.
Peter.

Peter is the man but if I may guess is it an Ijselaak? Nice guess, but it doesn't look like an "IJsselaak", I could see that even with my eyes closed . Peter.

In case you want to know more about ordinary "Westlanders", here's an interesting site : www.mjkvandenberg.nl/tijdgeest/index.php/foto-s Peter.

Great to see them under sail, so they had sails as well as a motor?

Great to see them under sail, so they had sails as well as a motor? No Jim, the one of the link is one of the more common original "Westlander" boats, they didn't have engines, and were pulled or poled along the narrow ditches in the area where they used to work (named the Westland), mainly with produce from the farm-lands, if they went further away where they had to cross bigger lakes, or rivers they could sail. Many of these old boats were motorised later, the one you photographed at Stanley Ferry was built as a motorbarge (different stern) and these didn't have sails. Peter.
