Also this, but I'm, really looking for the one where Garfield squashes an ant whose contact lens has dropped out, and then he grinds the contact lens into powder...

We have heard very little recently from Kris regarding his collection of boxes of rotting shit. I would welcome his update on this with special regard to any effect on his lurrve life (if any).

I don't remember him saying he does his bonking on the bog. You are quite correct I think, however his left field curation of boxes of fetid excretions gently bubbling in the room 'where the magic happens' must surely impact negatively on his chances of regular coitus, save for finding another shit fetishist as keen on post-coital shit stirring as he is.

I like the way everybody is an expert, yet have no experience of compost loos. Clean water is becoming a rare commodity, if you where designing a system to deal with human waste now you would not have it use so much clean fresh water. But most people just want to flush the loo and forget all about it. The same as they just want to flick a switch the light come on and not think about it. People who livaboard boats take responsibility for generating power why not take responsibility for their shit? One of the next things I'll be making is a water filtration system for my grey water and to be able to take water from the cut and use it. My sister has a composting loo on her narrowboat and I have used it and been very impressed with it. Unfortunately my husband is the one finding the idea hard to handle and like many has made a judgement up front as to how it would work/smell. I have every intention of changing the macerator toilet on my boat to a composting one as soon as I have a mooring with suitable facilities for the resulting compost. I tend to feel people react to composting toilets in the same way they do when hearing I am vegan, with jumping to conclusions with no knowledge or desire to find out facts. It is soooooooo much easier to keep ones mind closed Maybe I am just bloody minded and refuse to follow the crowd, but hey it keeps me amused!

After reading Quaysider's thread concerning his new pump out fitting and Kris's dump in a fermenting box thread I've often wondered why no one fits a urinal to their narrow boat? With pump out prices rising, pissing down the sink a little bit uncouth and pissing over the side bordering on illegal due to various public order / flashing laws...surely a single pot mounted on the cabin side with a drain directly into the canal via a skin gland next to the conventional loo would be a win win installation? Can anyone see any problems with this idea? apart from the obvious ' women struggle to balance on one / splash back issues ! Can't you just drill a whole in the side of the heads and call it the glory hole?

Can't you just drill a whole in the side of the heads and call it the glory hole? Got to think of the risks involved with that idea... Serious chaffing injury to the shaft on the un-de-burred drilled steel hole plus a risk of pecking from local ducks, moorhens or random pissed up / lonely ladies (or men) of the night!!
Think that's definitely a no-go idea!

It would save cleaning the urinal though.
Walk through bathroom added to the list to avoid ladies/men of the night.

another thing...how would my missus cope use a 'glory-hole' type urinal? Presume she'd have to use a funnel and a tube with serious splashback issues?

Have a look at Shewee's Often used in mountaineering where you might be stuck in a tent for what ever reasons. Might need some mods (no not that sort) though.

I know what you mean about people making up their mind without knowing the facts. Don't worry about your husband there are a few like it on here, I think it's something to do with them not being potty trained right,.
